White House Office
The White House Office is an entity within the Executive Office of the President of the United States (EOP). The White House Office is headed by the White House chief of staff, who is also the head of the Executive Office of the President. The staff work for and report directly to the president, including West Wing staff and the president's senior advisers. Almost all of the White House Office staff are political appointees of the president, do not require Senate confirmation and can be dismissed at the discretion of the president. The staff of the various offices are based in the West Wing and East Wing of the White House, the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, and the New Executive Office Building. The West Wing of the White House is the location of the office space of the president of the United States. The West Wing contains the Oval Office, the Cabinet Room (White House), Cabinet Room, the White House Situation Room, Situation Room, and the Roosevelt Room. Sylvia May Mailman ( Davis; born June 4, 1988) is an American political advisor and attorney who has served as Deputy Assistant to the President, deputy assistant to the president and senior policy strategist since 2025. Mailman served as the deputy Solicitor General of Ohio, solicitor general of Ohio from 2021 to 2023. Mailman graduated from the University of Kansas and Harvard Law School. Alina Saad Habba (, born March 25, 1984) is an American lawyer and political advisor who is currently serving as acting U.S. attorney for the District of New Jersey, as well as a counselor to the President in the second Trump administration. Between 2021 and 2025, Habba was a legal spokesperson for President Donald Trump, and a senior advisor for MAGA, Inc., Trump's Super PAC.
