"Where Did Your Heart Go?" is a song written by American musicians David Was and Don Was. The song was recorded and released by the writers' band Was (Not Was) as a single in the UK (as a double A-side with "Wheel Me Out") in September 1981, and the single did not chart. It is featured as the second track on the band's debut album ''Was (Not Was)'' in August 1981. French editions of the single include the track "It's an Attack!" as the B-side. A live recording of "Where Did Your Heart Go?" was included as a B-side to the 1992 single "Somewhere in America (There's a Street Named After My Dad)". Track listing Wham! version "Where Did Your Heart Go?" was covered by British pop duo Wham! in 1986 as one of the three B-sides to "The Edge of Heaven", which reached number one in the UK. Was (Not Was) is an American band founded in 1979 in Detroit, Michigan, by David Weiss and Don Fagenson, who adopted the stage names David Was and Don Was. Their song catalog features an eclectic mix of pop and rock styles, often featuring guest musicians from across the musical spectrum. Jeffery Deon Estus (July 4, 1956 – October 11, 2021) was an American musician and singer, best known as the bass player of Wham! and as the bassist on George Michael's first two solo projects. Estus' single " Heaven Help Me", with additional vocals by Michael, reached number 5 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart in 1989. Early life Estus was born in Detroit on July 4, 1956. He went to Northwestern High School. There, he sang second tenor in the choir under the direction of Brazel Dennard. His bass guitar teacher was James Jamerson of Motown's the Funk Brothers. Andrew Kevin Hamilton (born 28 March 1953) is a British tenor saxophonist who has played with Duran Duran, Wham!, Elton John, Pet Shop Boys, Tina Turner, George Michael, Paul McCartney, Radiohead, Bon Jovi, David Bowie, Ben E. King, Dexy's Midnight Runners, Brian May, Stereophonics and more.
