''We'll Find Happiness'' () is a Canadian drama film, directed by Léa Pool and slated for release in 2025. The film stars Mehdi Meskar as Saad, a gay man from Morocco who has come to Canada as a refugee; when his Iranian boyfriend (Aron Archer) faces deportation back to Iran where he will almost certainly be killed, Saad takes it upon himself to seduce a bureaucrat for the immigration department ( Alexandre Landry) in the hopes of securing his partner's safety. The cast also includes Paul Ahmarani, Sebastien Beaulac, Shiva Gholamianzadeh, Yves Soutière, Sascha Ley, Geneviève Rochette, Joey Perron, Joël Delsaut, Maxime Afshar, Giuseppe Calvinisti and Jérôme Varanfrain in supporting roles. Léa Pool
Léa Pool C.M. (born 8 September 1950) is a Canadian and Swiss filmmaker. She has directed several documentaries and feature films, many of which have won significant awards including the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury, and she was the first woman to win the prize for Best Film at the Quebec Cinema Awards. Pool's films often opposed stereotypes and refused to focus on heterosexual relations, preferring individuality. She also taught film at Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). Early life Pool was born in Soglio, Switzerland in 1950, and raised in Lausanne. Her father was a Polish-Jew who was stateless when he fled to Switzerland during World War II. Pool's Swiss mother is Catholic and she uses her mother's surname professionally. Michel Marc Bouchard, (born February 2, 1958) is a Canadian playwright. He has received the Prix Journal de Montreal, Prix du Cercle des critiques de l'Outaouais, the Dora Mavor Moore Award for Outstanding New Play, the Floyd S. Chalmers Canadian Play Award, and nine Jessie Richardson Theatre Awards for the Vancouver productions of ''Lilies'' and ''The Orphan Muses''.
