''For the English retired football striker, see Wayne Curtis.'' Mark Wayne Curtis (born 22 February 1967) is a Welsh former professional footballer who played in the Football League for Cardiff City. Born in Neath, Curtis began his career with Swansea City but was released by the club without making a first-team appearance. He later attended a trial with their South Wales rivals Cardiff City and joined the club on non-contract terms. He made his debut for the ''Bluebirds'' on 21 September 1985 in a 3–0 defeat to Blackpool and his performances saw manager Alan Durban offer Curtis a full-time contract with the club. Wayne John Curtis (born 6 March 1980) is an English retired football striker. He finished his career after a short spell with Kendal Town in September and October 2011. He has played in the football league for Morecambe as well as non-league football for Fleetwood Town, Barrow, Kendal Town and Holker Old Boys where he began his career in 1994. Career Born in Barrow-in-Furness, Curtis began his career with Holker Old Boys, and was signed by Jim Harvey in 1998 for Morecambe. His Morecambe debut came against Dover Athletic on 25 April 1998. After a period of indifferent form, he went on loan to his home town club Barrow for a spell during the 2003–2004 season. William Alan Durban (born 7 July 1941) is a Welsh former international footballer and manager, whose career was at its peak between the 1970s and 1990s. He played in the Football League for Cardiff City, Derby County and was player-manager of Shrewsbury Town. He managed Stoke City (two spells), Sunderland and Cardiff City. Frank Burrows
Frank Burrows (30 January 1944 – 24 November 2021) was a Scottish football player and manager who played as a central defender. Life and career Frank Burrows began his football career at Scottish club Raith Rovers. In 1965, he moved south to England and joined Scunthorpe United. Impressive performances as a defender for Scunthorpe led to him being signed by Swindon Town F.C. for the 1968–69 season as a replacement for the departing Mel Nurse. Burrows was a major factor in helping Swindon to their most successful ever season in which they won promotion and the League Cup. Burrows played alongside team captain Stan Harland in the middle of a defence that conceded just 35 goals in 46 League matches. He went on to make over 350 appearances for Swindon.
