History Varsity Lakes station opened on 13 December 2009 as the terminal station of the Gold Coast line when it was extended from Robina. Varsity Lakes is a suburb in the City of Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. In the , Varsity Lakes had a population of 15,026 people. The suburb was originally known as ''Stephens'', but in 2002, Stephens, Andrews and a section of Robina were amalgamated to form the new suburb of Varsity Lakes. Geography The suburb is bounded to the west by the Pacific Motorway, to the south by Reedy Creek Road, and to the east by Mattocks Road and Bermuda Street. Robina Town Centre is the second largest shopping center on the Gold Coast, Australia after the recently redeveloped Pacific Fair, covering in the suburb of Robina, with seven anchor tenants and over 400 retail outlets covering over . The Pines is a major sub-regional shopping centre in the southern suburb of Elanora on the Gold Coast, Queensland. Reedy Creek is a suburb in the City of Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. In the , Reedy Creek had a population of 6,659 people. Geography Located in the hinterland towards the southern end of the city, Reedy Creek is a developing residential area. The suburb is bounded to the north-east by the Pacific Motorway (M1), to the east by Old Coach Road, then follows the ridgeline around to the north-west and then loosely follows Eden View Drive back to the M1. The elevation rises from above sea level in the north of the suburb to over in the south of the suburb at the end of Abbey Ridge Road. Surfside Buslines was an Australian bus operator on the Gold Coast in Queensland. It operated 56 services under contract to the Government of Queensland under the TransLink banner. It also operates nine services in the adjoining Tweed Valley of northern New South Wales under contract to the Government of New South Wales. As of 2022 Surfside Buslines has changed its name as part of a business re-brand by the parent company, Kinetic. Doomben Railway Station
Doomben railway station is the terminal station of the Pinkenba line in Queensland, Australia. It serves the Brisbane suburb of Ascot adjacent to Doomben Racecourse. History The Pinkenba line opened on 1 April 1897 to Pinkenba. A station for Doomben Racecourse was opened in 1909 alongside the Nudgee Road level crossing, and in 1976 a new station named Whinstanes-Doomben opened slightly farther east; Whinstanes was the name of the industrial branch line that crosses Kingsford Smith Drive to the Hamilton Cold Stores. The station was renamed Doomben when the line was electrified on 6 February 1988.
