The women's tournament in Volleyball at the Summer Olympics, volleyball at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London was the 13th edition of the event in an Olympic Games, organised by the world's governing body, the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball, FIVB, in conjunction with the International Olympic Committee, IOC. It was held at Earls Court Exhibition Centre from 28 July to 11 August 2012. Qualification Pools composition Teams were seeded following the Serpentine system according to their FIVB World Rankings, ranking as of 15 January 2012. Twelve qualified nations were drawn into two groups, each consisting of six teams. After a robin-round, the four highest-placed teams in each group advanced to a knock-out round to decide the medals. is a retired Japanese volleyball player who played for Toray Arrows. She also played for the All-Japan women's volleyball team and was a captain of the team. She was a participant at the 2004 Summer Olympics, 2008 Summer Olympics, 2012 Summer Olympics and 2016 Summer Olympics, winning a bronze medal in 2012. Hui Ruoqi (; born 4 March 1991) is a Chinese former volleyball player. She was an outside hitter and the fifteenth captain of China women's national volleyball team, and played for Jiangsu.
