The women's volleyball tournament at the 2023 Pan American Games was the 18th edition of the volleyball event for women at the Pan American Games. It was held from October 21–26, 2023. All games were played at the Arena Parque O'Higgins in Santiago, Chile. Schedule The schedule is as follows. Qualification A total of eight women's teams qualified to compete at the games in each tournament. Movistar Arena (Santiago)
Movistar Arena is a 17,000-seat multi-purpose indoor arena in Santiago, Chile. It is located inside O'Higgins Park, in downtown Santiago. Its main structure was built in 1956, but it remained unfinished and without a roof, until the roof was installed in 2000. The arena was ultimately purchased by Peter Hiller who opened it on 15 April 2006 as Arena Santiago with a seat-capacity of 12,000. The 2023 Women's Pan-American Volleyball Cup was the 20th edition of the annual women's volleyball tournament. It was held at the Auditorio Juan Pachín Vicéns in Ponce, Puerto Rico from 6–13 August 2023. The competition gave two spots to the women's volleyball tournament of the 2023 Pan American Games, in Santiago, Chile. Argentina won their first gold medal while Puerto Rico finished as runners-up for the third time in its history. The United States defeated the Dominican Republic to claim the bronze medal. Bianca Cugno of Argentina was the most valuable player. Volleyball At The 2023 Pan American Games
Volleyball competitions at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile are scheduled to be held from October 21 to November 4. The venue for the competition is the Arena Parque O'Higgins. Each tournament will feature eight men's teams and eight women's teams, each with a maximum of 12 athletes. This indicates that 192 athletes will compete in total. Camila Fernanda Gómez Hernández (born 6 July 1995) is a Colombian volleyball player for the Omaha Supernovas of the Pro Volleyball Federation and the Colombia women's national volleyball team. She played the 2013 FIVB U20 World Championship and the 2015 FIVB U23 World Championship. She won the silver bronze medal in the 2015 South American Championship and the silver in the 2017 edition being awarded Best Libero in both senior tournaments. Neira Ortiz Ruiz (born 7 May, 1993 in San Juan) is a Puerto Rican professional volleyball player. She has represented Puerto Rico as a member of the Puerto Rico women's national volleyball team.
