Vladimir Kovačević (, born 11 November 1992) is a Serbian footballer who plays as a centre-back for Russian club Sokol Saratov. Career Kovačević is a product of Vojvodina youth system. Vojvodina He made his professional debut for Vojvodina against Javor in May 2010, but due to extremely strong competition for two central defender positions, he never managed to make an impact at the club. Hajduk Kula Kovačević was loaned to another Serbian SuperLiga side Hajduk Kula for 2010–11 season. There he didn't make an instant impact, but as the season progressed, he established himself as one of the club's top defenders. He scored his first senior goal against Red Star Belgrade in surprise 2–0 home win. Proleter Novi Sad After loan return from Hajduk, Kovačević spent an entire season 2011–12 trying to break into the first team, but has only made 3 league appearances. Odžaci ( sr-cyrl, Оџаци, ; ) is a town and municipality located in the West Bačka District of the autonomous province of Vojvodina, Serbia. The 2009–10 Serbian SuperLiga (known as the Jelen SuperLiga for sponsorship reasons) is the fourth season of the SuperLiga since its establishment in 2006. It began on 15 August 2009 and ended on 16 May 2010. A total of sixteen teams contested the league, with Partizan the defending champions. Changes from the 2008–09 season Structure changes The league size was expanded from twelve teams to sixteen prior to this season. As a consequence, the number of matches for each team was reduced from 33 to 30. Team changes Due to the league expansion, only 12th-placed Banat Zrenjanin were relegated to the First League. The Serbian Cup ( Serbian: Куп Србије / Kup Srbije), also known as Mozzart Serbian Cup for sponsorship reasons, is the national football cup of Serbia. The winner of the competition gets a spot in the UEFA Europa League qualifying round. History Serbia's cup tournament is the legal successor to the Serbia and Montenegro Cup and in turn of the Yugoslav Cup. This cup tournament lasted for four seasons up until the dissolution of the state union of Serbia and Montenegro in 2006. The tournament was dominated by Serbian clubs with no Montenegrin sides reaching the final. The Serbian First League (), referred to as the Mozzart Bet First League for sponsorship reasons, is the second tier in professional Serbia's football league. The league was formed in 2005, following a reshuffle of the second tier Serbo-Montenegrin divisions. It is operated by the Football Association of Serbia. Format The league is usually formed by 16 clubs which play all against one another twice, once at home, once away. The 2011–12 Serbian SuperLiga (known as the Jelen SuperLiga for sponsorship reasons) was the sixth season of the Serbian SuperLiga, the top football league of Serbia. The defending champions were Partizan, after having won their fourth Serbian Superliga title in a row at the conclusion of the previous season. Partizan successfully defended their title after a 4–0 victory at Borac Čačak with three games left to play. It was their fifth consecutive Serbian title and their 24th domestic championship.
