Victorian Amateur Football Association
The Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA) is the largest senior community Australian rules football competition in Victoria, Australia, Victoria. Founded in 1892, it consists of six senior divisions, ranging from Premier to Division 3 in the men's competition and Premier to Division 4 in the women's competition. In addition, the VAFA has under-19s and Thirds sections, primarily made up of either clubs only able to field one team, or clubs from higher sections that can field a third team after their seniors and reserves. The league operates a double promotion and relegation system between sections, with various rules dictating which section clubs can play in. Old Scotch Football Club
The Old Scotch Football Club, nicknamed the Cardinals, is an Australian rules football club based in the Melbourne suburb of Camberwell, Victoria, Camberwell. It affiliated with the List of Old Scotch Collegians, Old Scotch Collegians Association and maintains a close relationship with Scotch College, Melbourne, Scotch College. Old Scotch has competed in the top division of the Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA) for 72 out of a possible 88 years, the most of any club. The club has never competed lower than the Premier B division, and also held a 35-year continuous playing record in A Section/Premier Division until 2015. 1912 MAFA Season
The 1912 MAFA season was the 21st season of the Victorian Amateur Football Association, Metropolitan Amateur Football Association (MAFA). The season began on 27 April and concluded on 14 September, comprising an 18-match home-and-away season, followed by a two-week #Finals, finals series. Lawrence Adamson
Lawrence Arthur Adamson, CMG, (20 April 1860 – 14 December 1932) was a schoolmaster of Wesley College, Melbourne, Australia, and is considered to be one of the greatest and most influential in the nation's educational history. Upon his retirement in 1932 it was written that he'd been "not only a teacher of boys, but a leader of men." Early life Lawrence Adamson was born at Douglas, Isle of Man, the second son of Lawrence William Adamson. LL.D., Grand Seneschal of the IoM and his wife Annie Jane née Flint. In 1866, the family went to Newcastle-on-Tyne, where his father served as High Sheriff of Northumberland in 1900. The South St Kilda Football Club was an Australian rules football club based in the Melbourne suburb of St Kilda. The club was a founding member of the Metropolitan Junior Football Association (MJFA, now VAFA) and was one of the competition's most successful clubs in its early years.
