Vestri Men's Football
The Vestri men's football team, commonly known as Vestri, is the men's football department of the Íþróttafélagið Vestri multi-sport club and is based in Ísafjarðarbær, Iceland. As of 2024, it plays in the Icelandic top-tier Besta deild karla. History The club was founded in 1986 as the football department of ''Badmintonfélag Ísafjarðar'', or BÍ for short. It first participated in the Icelandic tier-4 league, then known as 4. deild karla, that same year and their first coach was former Icelandic international player Björn Helgason. In 1988, Ísafjörður biggest club, Íþróttabandalag Ísafjarðar (ÍBÍ), folded after years of financial difficulties and most of their players moved over to BÍ who took over as the town's major football club. The club took up the name BÍ'88 to mark the new beginning and Jóhann Króknes Torfason was hired as the head coach. Torfnesvöllur

Benjamin Schubert
Benjamin Tonnesen Schubert (born 22 September 1996) is a Danish professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Vestri in the Icelandic Besta deild karla. Career Shubert played youth football for Silkeborg IF. His first senior club was Kjellerup IF, where he spent four seasons before leaving at the end of 2019. In January 2019, Shubert moved to Kolding IF of the Danish 1st Division. Schubert made three appearances in his first half-season with the club, thereby contributing to Kolding’s promotion to the 2019–20 Danish 1st Division. He left the club at the end of 2020 upon the expiration of his contract. After leaving Kolding, Shubert spent five months training with FC Olimpik Donetsk of the Ukrainian Premier League. Diego Nicolas Montiel (born 26 April 1995) is a Swedish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Vestri. Club career Montiel had youth spells with IK Franke and Västerås SK, he made his first-team debut with the latter on 7 July 2012 in a Division 1 Norra match against Östersund. In 2013, Montiel joined Allsvenskan club IF Brommapojkarna. He was named on the substitutes bench twice for the club's 2014–15 UEFA Europa League first qualifying round ties against VPS. Jeppe Pedersen (born 3 March 2001) is a Danish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Icelandic club Vestri. Career AaB Born in Hirtshals, Pedersen started his career at Hirtshals Boldklub, before joining AaB in 2016. He made his way up through the youth ranks and was already on the bench for a Danish Superliga game in May 2018.
