Circuito De Baloncesto De La Costa Del Pacífico
The Pacific Coast Basketball Circuit ( or CIBACOPA), officially known as the Liga Chevron CIBACOPA for sponsorship reasons, is a ten team basketball league based in Northwestern Mexico. The matches take place from March to June. History A league with the same name existed in the 1980s, and the second incarnation was founded in 2001. The charter members were Caballeros de Culiacán, Delfines de Mazatlán, Frayles de Guasave, Lobos Marinos de La Paz, Paisas de Los Cabos, and Pioneros de Los Mochis. Caballeros de Culiacán won the inaugural league title by defeating Delfines de Mazatlán four games to none in the finals. The 2019 season saw a total attendance of more than 220,000. The league celebrated its 20th season in 2020. A new franchise, Gallos de Aguascalientes, was set to join but were expelled before the season began. Lobodome
The Lobodome (officially Lobodome de la UAD a Mazatlan) is a 8,000-seat indoor arena located in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Mexico. It is used primarily for basketball, and is home to the Lobos de Universidad Autónoma de Durango-Mazatlán basketball team. It is also used for concerts, boxing and lucha libre. It was one of the original buildings of the UAD's Mazatlan campus which was established in 1999. One of the first events at the arena was a concert by Lorena Herrera, a Mazatlán native. Until the Mazatlán International Center was built, it was the largest indoor venue in the city. Concert capacity of the Lobodome is around 8,000. Despite its name, the arena's roof is arch-shaped. Mazatlán () is a city in the Mexican list of states of Mexico, state of Sinaloa. The city serves as the municipal seat for the surrounding , known as the Mazatlán Municipality. The Ostioneros de Guaymas (English: ''Guaymas Oyster Farmers'') are a Mexican professional basketball team based in Guaymas, Sonora. The Ostioneros are members of the Circuito de Baloncesto de la Costa del Pacífico (CIBACOPA) and play their games at the Gimnasio Municipal de Guaymas. They are named after the Ostioneros de Guaymas, a defunct baseball team which was a charter member of the Mexican Pacific League. History The Ostioneros de Guaymas were established in 2008. Derrick Dewayne Allen (born July 17, 1980) is an American professional basketball coach and former player. He is currently an assistant coach for the Capitanes de Ciudad de México. Playing career College basketball Growing up in Gadsden, Alabama, Allen attended Gadsden High School before his time at Southern Union State Community College in Wadley, Alabama.
