Virtual instrument software architecture (VISA) is a widely used application programming interface (API) in the test and measurement (T&M) industry for communicating with instruments from a computer. VISA is an industry standard implemented by several T&M companies, such as, Anritsu, Bustec, Keysight Technologies, Kikusui, National Instruments, Rigol, Rohde & Schwarz, and Tektronix. The VISA standard includes specifications for communication with resources (usually, but not always, instruments) over T&M-specific I/O interfaces such as GPIB and VXI. Vancomycin-resistant ''Staphylococcus aureus'' (VRSA) are strains of ''Staphylococcus aureus'' that have acquired resistance to the glycopeptide antibiotic vancomycin. Bacteria can acquire resistance genes either by random mutation or through the transfer of DNA from one bacterium to another. Resistance genes interfere with the normal antibiotic function and allow bacteria to grow in the presence of the antibiotic. Resistance in VRSA is conferred by the plasmid-mediated ''vanA'' gene and operon. Although VRSA infections are uncommon, VRSA is often resistant to other types of antibiotics and a potential threat to public health because treatment options are limited. The Vancouver Island School of Art (VISA) is a private, non-profit post-secondary art school founded in 2004 and located in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Duncan Mackay (born 26 July 1950) is a British composer, singer, arranger, and keyboard player who has recorded eight solo albums as well as collaborations. He was born in Leeds, Yorkshire, England. He played with Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel from 1974 to 1977 and 10cc from 1978 to 1981, and also played on Kate Bush's first three albums, ''The Kick Inside'', '' Lionheart'' (both 1978) and '' Never for Ever'' (1980), as well as Camel's 1981 album ''Nude'', and Budgie's 1982 album '' Deliver Us from Evil''. Viśa Īrasangä ( Khotanese: ; in zh, t=尉遲乙僧, s=尉迟乙僧, first=t, w=Yü4-chʻih2 I3-sêng1, p=Yùchí Yǐsēng; ) was a Khotanese painter during the Tang dynasty. He was also a Khotanese nobleman, but sometimes he is considered to be a Tocharian originated from the north of Afghanistan. His father Viśa Baysūna ( zh, t=尉遲跋質那, p=Yùchí Bázhìnà, labels=no) was well known by his paintings during the Sui dynasty, he was referred to as "Yuchi the Elder" () by Chinese people.
