Facilities Thalhimer Tennis Center The six court facility currently holds 300 people, and is located between Main and Cary Street in VCU's Monroe Park Campus. New Tennis Center The 2014-2020 six year capital plan calls for a 14 million dollar, state-of-the-art, modern Tennis center that will include 6 indoor courts, a spectator viewing space, and 12 outdoor courts. VCU Rams
The VCU Rams are the college athletics, athletic teams of Virginia Commonwealth University of Richmond, Virginia, United States. The Rams compete in NCAA Division I, Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association as members of the Atlantic 10 Conference. The most successful teams have been the men's tennis and basketball teams, which have had success in their conference and on the regional and national stages. The school's colors are black and gold. The athletic director is Ed McLaughlin. The official student supporter group is known as the Rowdy Rams. VCU was founded following the merger of the Medical College of Virginia and the Richmond Professional Institute in 1968. Prior to the VCU Rams, the MCV athletic teams competed as the ''Medicoes'' and the RPI athletic teams competed as the ''Green Devils''. Martina Nedelková (born 21 October 1977) is a former professional Slovak tennis player. On 7 October 1996, she reached her highest WTA singles ranking of 441. Personal life Martina was born on 21 October 1977 in Piešťany. Nedelková started playing tennis in Piešťany with coach Ivo Doležálek. Martina currently lives in the USA, where she remained after successful studies and works as a tennis coach. Career Nedelková had a successful junior career, Her career-high world ranking as a junior was world No. 1. In 1994 Nedelková won a prestigious tournaments for juniors Osaka Mayor's Cup and Trofeo Bonfiglio (Grade A) She has won six doubles titles on the ITF Women's Circuit.
