Urmas Lennuk
Urmas Lennuk (born 16 October 1971, in Tamsalu) is an Estonian theatre director, playwright and dramaturg. In 2000 he graduated from Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre' Stage Art Department. 2000–11 he worked at Rakvere Theatre. 2011–13 he worked at Vanemuine Theatre. Since 2017 he is working again at Rakvere Theatre. 2011–14 he was a screenwriter for the television series ''Õnne 13 Õnne 13 is an Estonian dramatic TV series that airs on ETV. Tamsalu is a town in Tapa Parish, Lääne-Viru County, Estonia. History The town was first mentioned in 1512, but remained an insignificant village until 1876. Estonian Academy Of Music And Theatre
The Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (''Eesti Muusika- ja Teatriakadeemia'') began as a mixed choir of the Estonia Society Musical Department (EMD) on the eve of World War I. The assembly of the Estonia Society created the Tallinn Higher Music School on November 17, 1918. The opening ceremony took place on September 28, 1919. In 1923 the educational institution was renamed the Tallinn Conservatoire. In 1938 the State Drama School was opened. In 1993 the school was renamed the “Estonian Academy of Music”. In 1995 the Drama Faculty was renamed the Higher Theatre School. Rakvere Theatre
Rakvere Theatre is a professional theatre in Rakvere, Estonia. History Rakvere Theatre was established in the fall of 1921, when ''Rakvere Näitlejate Ring'' was formed. The building of the Rakvere Theatre was opened with a public ceremony on 24 February 1940, the 22nd anniversary of independent Estonia, the following day the first ever play, August Kitzberg's ''"Tuulte pöörises"'' premiered. The theatre's artistic director is Üllar Saaremäe, and theatre manager is Joonas Tartu. Rakvere is believed to be the smallest town in Europe, which has its own professional theatre. Vanemuine () is a theatre in Tartu, Estonia. It was the first Estonian language theatre. History ''1870–1906 The Beginning of the Beginning. Koidula’s Theatre, Wiera’s Theatre.'' On June 24, 1870 was the first day in Estonian theatre history by Lydia Koidula's play "Saaremaa onupoeg" (en: Cousin from Saaremaa) was performed.It was the first Estonian language play and it was performed at the Vanemuine Society house at Jaama Street in Tartu. Liisa Aibel (born 21 September 1972) is an Estonian stage, film and television actress. Early life and education Liisa Aibel was born in Viljandi and attended school in Pärnu, graduating from Pärnu Secondary School No. 6 in 1990. As a teenager, she became interested in the theatre and studied at the Pärnu School Theatre under the instruction of Aare Laanemets. In 1990, she enrolled in the performing arts department of the Tallinn Conservatory (now, the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre) in Tallinn, under instruction of theatre pedagogue and director Ingo Normet, graduating in 1994.
