The University of the Philippines College of Law (often referred to as UP Law) is the law school of the University of the Philippines Diliman. Formally established in 1911 in UP Manila, it is the third oldest continually-operating law school in the Philippines. Since 1948, it has been based in UP Diliman in Quezon City, the flagship of the UP System's eight constituent universities. The college also holds extension classes at the Bonifacio Global City campus of UP Diliman in Taguig and the Iloilo City campus of UP Visayas. Vicente Abad Santos
Vicente Abad Santos (: 12 July 1916 – 30 December 1993) was a Filipino who served as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the Philippines. Profile Abad Santos was born in San Fernando, Pampanga, a city in Central Luzon to a single mother Escolastica Abad Santos. The two maternal uncles were prominent Filipinos during the American period, Chief Justice José Abad Santos, and his brother Pedro, a leading socialist leader during the Commonwealth era. Sherman Moreland
Sherman Moreland (October 16, 1868 – December 27, 1951) was an American lawyer and politician from New York and the Philippines. Early life He was born on October 16, 1868, in Van Etten, Chemung County, New York. He attended the district school. Then, he worked for two years in a bark mill and then as a clerk in a hardware store. In 1888, he enrolled at Cornell University and graduated B.Litt. in 1892. He graduated LL.B. from Cornell Law School in 1894, was admitted to the bar in 1896, and practiced law in Van Etten. Political career Moreland was a member of the New York State Assembly (Chemung Co.) in 1903, 1904, 1905, 1906 and 1907; and was Majority Leader in 1906 and 1907. Marvic Mario Victor Famorca Leonen (born December 29, 1962) is the Senior associate justice of the Supreme Court of the Philippines since May 14, 2022 upon the retirement of Senior Associate Justice Estela Perlas-Bernabe.
