Universiti is a light rapid transit (LRT) station in Kuala Lumpur served by the Kelana Jaya Line. This station serves the local population of University of Malaya and neighbouring Bangsar South, Pantai Dalam and Pantai Hill Park. Light Rapid Transit
A medium-capacity system (MCS), also known as light rapid transit or light metro, is a rail transport system with a capacity greater than light rail, but less than typical heavy-rail rapid transit. MCS’s trains are usually 1-4 cars, or 1 light rail vehicle (LRV). Most medium-capacity rail systems are automated or use light rail type vehicles. Rapid Rail
Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd is the operator of the rapid transit (metro) system serving Kuala Lumpur and the Klang Valley area in Malaysia. Island Platform
An island platform (also center platform, centre platform) is a station layout arrangement where a single platform is positioned between two tracks within a railway station, tram stop or transitway interchange. Island platforms are popular on twin-track routes due to pragmatic and cost reasons. They are also useful within larger stations where local and express services for the same direction of travel can be provided from opposite sides of the same platform thereby simplifying transfers between the two tracks. Kelana Jaya Line
The LRT Kelana Jaya Line is a medium-capacity light rapid transit (LRT) line and the first fully automated and driverless rail system in the Klang Valley, Malaysia. It forms a part of the Klang Valley Integrated Transit System in and around Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Bangsar South ( Malay: ''Bangsar Selatan'') is an integrated property development project which sits on the former Kampung Kerinchi site in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Pantai Dalam
Pantai Dalam is a residential area located south-west of Kuala Lumpur, under the parliamentary constituency of Lembah Pantai. Represented in Dewan Rakyat by Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), Fahmi Fadzil. The name Pantai Dalam derived from Kampung Pam Thai Dalam which was initially known for the sewerage treatment plant located at the heart of Pantai. Demographics Most of the areas residents are blue-collar workers living in flats that had been sold to them under the People's Housing Project when they were resettled from their squatter homes; students of the University of Malaya; and police officers and related personnel, mainly in Desa Aman 1 & 2. The population is made up of 49% Malays, 19% Chinese and 32% Indians.
