Uzbekistan Footballer Of The Year
The Uzbekistan Footballer of the Year ( uz, Yilning eng yaxshi futbolchisi or Йилнинг энг яхши футболчиси) is a yearly football award presented by the Uzbekistan Football Association to the most outstanding Uzbekistan footballer among who has been considered to have performed the best in national team or over Uzbekistan Super League and other national championship season. The award is given out at the end of the calendar year and is decided by the survey among sport journalists and football experts. The Uzbekistan Football Association ( uz, Oʻzbekiston Futbol Federatsiyasi) is the governing body of football in Uzbekistan, controlling the Uzbekistan national team. History Uzbekistan Football Federation was founded in 1946, while Uzbekistan was still under Soviet rule, and has been a member of FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation since 1994. On 7 January 2013, at a ceremony in Zurich, Switzerland, Uzbekistan football federation was awarded the prize FIFA Fair Play Award from FIFA. Uzbekistan Football Federation took also first place in points for the "Fair Play" among the AFC in 2012. The federation organizes the Uzbek League, the second level Uzbekistan First League, Uzbekistan Second League, Uzbek Cup, ''UzPFL Cup'' and the Uzbek women's football championship. FK Buxoro ( uz, italic=yes, Futbol Klubi Buxoro) is an Uzbek professional football club based in Bukhara. Founded in 1989, the club competes in the Uzbekistan Super League. History The club was founded in 1960 under name ''Bukhoro''. In 1989 club was renamed to ''Nurafshon''. During the 1990 season the club played in the Soviet Second League, zone "East", finishing in 4th position. Buxoro played its first ''Oliy League'' season in 1992. The best club performance in ''Oliy League'' is runners-up of 1994 season after Neftchi Farg'ona. FK Bukhoro played three times in semi-final of Uzbek Cup. Sergey Elefertovich Lebedev (russian: Сергей Элефертович Лебедев) (born 31 January 1969 in the Uzbek SSR, Soviet Union) is a retired football midfielder. Lebedev is a former Uzbekistani international, who obtained a total number of 33 caps during his career, scoring ten goals. He later became a football coach.
