Utrpení Mladého Boháčka
''Utrpení mladého Boháčka'' is a Czech comedy film written by Eduard Verner and directed by František Filip. It was released in 1969. Plot Thirty-year-old Tonda Boháček works as a tractor driver in Čečelice. He lives with his mother, who constantly urges him to find a girl, and one day even posts a classified ad on his behalf. From the responses he gets, Mrs. Boháček selects Jana, and pressures her son to go meet her in the neighbouring town of Úvaly. Tonda goes off, and on the way, he stops at a coffeehouse. In his reluctance to change his lifestyle and get married, he decides to write a letter, ostensibly from Jana herself, indicating she does not wish to see him a second time. Still at the coffeehouse, he meets a bunch of travellers, one of whom is Květa Lesecká. Tonda leaves the bar and heads off to meet Jana. František Filip
František Filip (26 December 1930 – 9 January 2021) was a Czech film and television director. Biography During his studies at the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague in the 1950s, he filmed his first documentary film. After graduation, he joined Czechoslovak Television in 1954, where he remained until his retirement. However; even after retirement he still continued to work in television. During the span of his career, he directed about 600 film and television programs of various genres for viewers of all ages. In 2017, he was awarded the Thalia Award. Death Filip died from COVID-19 in Prague on 9 January 2021, at the age of 90, during the COVID-19 pandemic in the Czech Republic. Pavel Landovský
Pavel Landovský (11 September 1936 – 10 October 2014), nicknamed Lanďák, was a Czech actor, playwright, and director. He was a prominent dissident under the communist regime of former Czechoslovakia. Biography Landovský was born in Havlíčkův Brod in 1936, and after finishing his studies at the secondary technical school of mechanical engineering, he tried four times to enter the Faculty of Theatre in Prague, without success. He started his acting career as a supernumerary actor in the regional theatre in Teplice and continued to perform in regional theatres in Šumperk, Klatovy, and Pardubice. The first play that he wrote, ''Hodinový hoteliér'', premiered at the Činoherní klub theatre in Prague on 11 May 1969. In 1971, the communist regime banned him from film and television. Jaroslav Satoranský (born 17 December 1939 in Prague) is a Czech actor. He belongs to famous Czech stage players and also to film actors. Úvaly () is a town in Prague-East District in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 7,500 inhabitants. Etymology The name means 'valleys' in Czech.
