''Univision y Los Niños'' (in English, "''Univision and the Kids''" and/or "''Univision and the Children''") is a former American children's programming block that airs on the Spanish-language television network Univision which premiered on June 26, 1989, to September 15, 1990. The two-hour block—which airs Monday to Friday and Saturday morning cartoon from 7:00 to 9:00a.m. ET/ PT—features the network was in partnership with DIC Entertainment (now WildBrain) including animated series aimed at children between the ages of 2 and 14. It was the network's attempt to have a Saturday morning block. Programs featured on the block consist of a mixture of series originally produced in Spanish and dubbed versions of series that were originally produced and broadcast in English by DIC Enterprises consisting four 30-minute episodes. ''Denver, the Last Dinosaur'' is an animated series produced by World Events Productions and . It was nationally syndicated throughout the United States in 1988 with reruns airing until 1990. In the show, a dinosaur hatches from a petrified egg in the modern era, and is befriended by a group of teenagers. Episodes often focused on issues of conservation, ecology, and greed. The show ran for two seasons, as the dinosaur boom that had followed the film ''The Land Before Time'' (1988) waned until ''Jurassic Park'' (1993), causing viewership to drop. ''Princess Knight'', also known as ''Ribon no Kishi'', is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Osamu Tezuka. This manga follows the adventures of Sapphire, a girl who was born accidentally with a blue heart of a boy and a pink heart of a girl. She pretends to be a prince to prevent the evil Duke Duralumin from taking over the kingdom through his son, Plastic. The gender-bending main character was inspired by the all-female musical theater group Takarazuka Revue in which women performed both female and male roles.
