The Autonomous University of Chiriqui, in Spanish Universidad Autónoma de Chiriquí (UNACHI), is a Panamanian university. It was founded in 1995, and is the third autonomous state institution of higher education and the first in the western region of the country. David (), known as David City in colonial times, is a city and corregimiento in the west of Panama. It is the capital of the province of Chiriquí and has an estimated population of 82,907 inhabitants as confirmed in 2013.
