USA Lacrosse, a Recognized Sport Organization of the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee, is the governing body of men and women's lacrosse in the United States. It provides a leadership role in virtually every aspect of the game and has more than 425,000 members throughout the United States, and offers programs and services to inspire participation while protecting the integrity of the sport. The USA Lacrosse national headquarters is located in Sparks, Maryland along with the Lacrosse Museum and National Hall of Fame. Kelly Amonte Hiller
Kelly Amonte Hiller is an American lacrosse coach and former player who is the women's lacrosse head-coach at Northwestern University. She has coached Northwestern to eight NCAA Women's Lacrosse Championships. Amonte Hiller played for the University of Maryland Terrapins, and won two national championships as a player. She was named the ACC Female Athlete of the Year in 1996. In 2012, Amonte Hiller was inducted into the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame. The 2011 FIL Women's U-19 World Lacrosse Championship was the 5th FIL Women's Under-19 World Lacrosse Championship, an international field lacrosse tournament that is held every four years and is sponsored by the Federation of International Lacrosse.
