Horizon League
The Horizon League is a collegiate List of NCAA conferences, athletic conference in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) NCAA Division I, Division I. Headquartered in Indianapolis, the league's eleven member schools are located in and near the Great Lakes region and in part of the Southern United States. The Horizon League founded in 1979 as the Midwestern City Conference. The conference changed its name to Midwestern Collegiate Conference in 1985 and then the Horizon League in 2001. NCAA Division I independent schools are four-year institutions that compete in college athletics at the NCAA Division I level, but do not belong to an established athletic conference for a particular sport. Summit League
The Summit League, or The Summit, is an NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletic conference with its membership mostly located in the Midwestern United States, from Minnesota in the east, to the Dakotas, Nebraska and Colorado to the West, and Missouri and Oklahoma to the South. Founded as the Association of Mid-Continent Universities in 1982, it rebranded as the Mid-Continent Conference in 1989, then again as the Summit League on June 1, 2007. John Trask (soccer)
John Trask is the former head men's soccer coach at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, serving from 2010 through 2021. He was announced head soccer coach on January 20, 2010. From 2005 to 2009, he served as the head men's soccer coach at UIC. At UIC, his teams advanced to the NCAA Tournament in 2006 (Round of 32), 2007 (Elite 8), and 2008 (Round of 16). From 2000 to 2004, he was a top assistant coach in Major League Soccer (MLS). In 2004, he was an assistant coach for Dallas Burn, and from 2002 to 2003, he was an assistant coach for D.C. United.
