Unidentified Flying Object
An unidentified flying object (UFO) is an object or phenomenon seen in the sky but not yet identified or explained. The term was coined when United States Air Force (USAF) investigations into flying saucers found too broad a range of shapes reported to consider them all saucers or discs. UFOs are also known as unidentified aerial phenomena or unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP). Lisa Kindred (1940 – November 11, 2019) was an American folk and blues singer. Kindred, born in 1940 in Buffalo, New York, was a figure in the Greenwich Village and Cambridge, Massachusetts folk scenes of the 1960s. She played with Bob Dylan, Dave Van Ronk and other legendary folk singers, and was mentored by guitarist and songwriter Fred Neil. ''ESG'' is the debut EP by American rock band ESG. It was released by 99 Records in 1981. The EP received positive reviews from music critics. "Moody" became popular with house DJs, and "UFO" came to be one of the most sampled tracks in hip hop music. History Ed Bahlman discovered ESG while serving as the judge for a talent show and became the band's unofficial manager.Reynolds 2006, p. 272. Tony Wilson from Factory Records approached the band after a performance at Hurrah on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, and three days later they began recording with Martin Hannett. They recorded "Moody" and "You're No Good" in the first take. Hannett had three minutes left on the master tape, so he had the band record "UFO". UFO (Pink Lady Song)
is the sixth single by Japanese duo Pink Lady, released on December 5, 1977 on Victor Entertainment. Background As with their previous singles, the music was composed by Shunichi Tokura and the lyrics were written by Yū Aku. "UFO" is about a woman who falls in love with a man she describes as "out of this world". The original studio version only has one "UFO" chant in the beginning of the song; live performances added two chants during the instrumental and towards the end. Live performances of the song are known for Pink Lady's silver sequin outfits and their elaborate dance choreography. The performance begins with Mie and Kei waving their microphones before doing the "UFO greeting" (placing the right open palm above the back of the head). ''UFO 1'' is the debut studio album by British rock band UFO. It was first released in the UK by Beacon Records in October 1970. The first US release was on Rare Earth Records in April 1971. Neither of these releases charted, but the album did become a success in Germany and Japan. The album was reissued under the name ''Unidentified Flying Object'' with four of the five tracks from the band's second album. This reissue shows a photo of the band from the 1980s on the cover. Sam Newton Battenberg Faulkner (born 11 January 1985) is an English singer-songwriter and musician from Reigate, Surrey. He is known for his percussive style of guitar playing. In 2007 Faulkner's debut studio album '' Hand Built by Robots'' was certified double platinum in the United Kingdom. The album topped the UK Albums Chart in August 2007.
