UEFA Women's Euro 2001 Qualification
The qualification for the UEFA Women's Euro 2001 was held between 21 August 1999 & 28 November 2000. The first-placed of the group stage qualified directly. The second-placed and the third-placed teams played in two playoff matches for four other berths. UEFA Women's Euro 2001
The 2001 UEFA Women's Championship was the eighth UEFA Women's Championship, a competition for the women's national football teams and member associations of UEFA. It took place in Germany between 23 June and 7 July 2001. It was won by Germany for the fifth time overall and third in a row with a 1–0 win in the final against Sweden, after a golden goal. Qualification 16 competing teams formed 4 groups; the winners of each group qualified for the Championship, while the teams finishing second and third had to play a playoff in order to qualify. Almelo () is a Municipalities of the Netherlands, municipality and a city in the eastern Netherlands. The main population centres in the town are Aadorp, Almelo, Mariaparochie, and Bornerbroek. Asito Stadion, formerly the Erve Asito () and the Polman Stadion, is a multi-use stadium in Almelo, Netherlands. It is currently used mostly for Association football, football matches.
