Standings and results for Group C of the UEFA Euro 2008 qualifying tournament. Greece secured qualification to the tournament proper on 17 October 2007 following a 1–0 win against Turkey, becoming the second team in the whole of the qualification stage to do so. Turkey secured qualification to the tournament proper on 21 November 2007 following a 1–0 win against Bosnia and Herzegovina, becoming the twelfth team in the whole of the qualification stage to do so. Standings Matches Group C fixtures were negotiated and finally decided by a draw at a meeting between the participants in Istanbul, Turkey on 17 February 2006. On 3 July 2006, the Hellenic Football Federation was indefinitely suspended from all international competition due to concerns about its autonomy from the Greek government. UEFA Euro 2008 Qualifying
Qualifying for the UEFA Euro 2008 finals tournament took place between August 2006 and November 2007. Fifty teams were divided into seven groups. In a Round-robin tournament, double round-robin system, each team played against each of the others in their group on a home-and-away basis. The winner and runner-up of each group qualified automatically for the final tournament. This was the first Euro qualification since expansion to have no playoff. Ole Gunnar Solskjær
Ole Gunnar Solskjær (; born 26 February 1973) is a Norwegian professional football manager and former player who currently manages Süper Lig club Beşiktaş. The Zimbru Stadium () is a football-specific stadium in Chișinău, Moldova, completed in May 2006 with a capacity of 10,104 people, meeting all norms required by UEFA and FIFA for national and international matches.
