Thomas Ross Whitlock (February 20, 1954 – February 18, 2023) was an American songwriter, best known for co-writing the Academy Award– and Golden Globe–winning song " Take My Breath Away", performed by Berlin from the film ''Top Gun'', with Giorgio Moroder.
