''Till the End'' is the third studio album by American metalcore band Phinehas. The album was released on July 10, 2015, through Artery Recordings and is the band's first release through the label. The album debuted at no. 2 on the '' Billboard'' Top Christian Albums chart. Background and promotion At the end of 2014, Phinehas announced they would begin working on their third studio album after concluding their tour for '' The Last Word Is Yours to Speak''. Phinehas is an American metalcore band formed in Los Angeles, California, in 2001. The group consists of vocalist Sean McCulloch, guitarist Daniel Gailey, bassist Bryce Kelley and drummer Isaiah Perez. They are currently signed to Solid State Records and have released five studio albums. Their most recent studio album, '' The Fire Itself'', was released on August 27, 2021. Affiance is an American metalcore band from Cleveland, Ohio, formed in 2007. Metalcore
Metalcore (also known as metallic hardcore) is a fusion music genre that combines elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk. As with other styles blending metal and hardcore, such as crust punk and grindcore, metalcore is noted for its use of breakdowns, slow, intense passages conducive to moshing. Other defining instrumental qualities include heavy riffs and stop-start rhythm guitar playing, occasional blast beats, and double bass drumming. Vocalists in the genre typically use thrash or scream vocals. Some later metalcore bands combine this with clean singing, often during the chorus.
