The Veil (American TV Series)
''The Veil'' is an American horror/supernatural anthology television series hosted by and starring Boris Karloff and produced in 1958 by Hal Roach Studios, very similar to '' Alcoa Presents: One Step Beyond''. The series was created by Frank P. Bibas (1917-1997). Production was abandoned after a pilot and ten episodes had been made, which were never broadcast nor shown in syndication. However the episodes were later compiled into three feature-length films which were broadcast on late night TV in the 1960s and later released to VHS home video. The complete original series has since been released in its original format on DVD from Shout! Factory / Timeless Media retitled ''Tales of the Unexplained''. Horror is a genre of fiction which is intended to frighten, scare, or disgust. Horror is often divided into the sub-genres of psychological horror and supernatural horror, which is in the realm of speculative fiction. Literary historian J. A. Cuddon, in 1984, defined the horror story as "a piece of fiction in prose of variable length... which shocks, or even frightens the reader, or perhaps induces a feeling of repulsion or loathing". ''Telephone Time'' is an American anthology drama series that aired on CBS in 1956, and on ABC from 1957 to 1958. The series features plays by John Nesbitt who hosted the first season. Frank C. Baxter hosted the 1957 and 1958 seasons. The program was directed by Arthur Hiller, Robert Florey, and Lewis Allen (director). Roxane Berard
Roxane Berard (January 21, 1933 — December 31, 2019), was an American actress who was the leading lady in various episodes of thirty-four different American television series between 1958 and 1967. One notable appearance was in 1964 when she played Ninette Rovel who murdered her husband Armand in the ''Perry Mason'' episode "The Case of the Fifty Millionth Frenchman". Berard had a gamine quality similar to that of Audrey Hepburn, with whom she was inevitably and continuously compared, as they purportedly resembled each other, and Berard frequently worked with a French accent. Booth Colman (March 8, 1923 – December 15, 2014) was an American film, television and stage actor. In his later years he played older authority figures, such as doctors and lawyers. Roy Tudor Owen (20 January 1898 – 13 March 1979), known professionally as just Tudor Owen, was a Welsh character actor. Owen is most famous for voicing the role of Towser in the 1961 Disney movie '' One Hundred and One Dalmatians''. Early life and career Owen was born on 20 January 1898 in the Welsh town of Penarth, Glamorgan. After serving with the Royal Army Medical Corps in World War I he went to RADA in London before moving to Hollywood.
