The Nazi Boni University (Université Nazi Boni) is a university in Bobo-Dioulasso, Houet Province, Burkina Faso. Bobo-Dioulasso
Bobo-Dioulasso is a city in Burkina Faso with a population of 904,920 (); it is the second-largest city in the country, after Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso's capital. The name means "home of the Bobo-Dioula". The local Bobo-speaking population (related to the Mande) refers to the city simply as ''Sia''. There are two distinct dialects spoken of Jula, based on the origins of different peoples who speak this language. The University of Koudougou (renamed Université Norbert Zongo) is one of three public universities in Burkina Faso. It is located in the city of Koudougou. As of 2015/2016 it had the second highest enrollment of students nationally (16.2%) behind the University of Ouagadougou (renamed Université Ouaga 1 Professeur Joseph Ki-Zerbo, UO1-JKZ) which had 32.8% of the national total enrollment. Founded in 1974, the University of Ouagadougou (UO; french: Université de Ouagadougou) is in the area of Dagnöen Nord (pronounced dag-no-en noor) in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. It was officially renamed in 2015 as l’Université Ouaga 1 Professeur Ki-Zerbo. The UO consists of seven Training and Research Units (UFR) and one institute. Nazi Boni (December 31, 1909, in Bwan, Upper Senegal and Niger – May 16, 1969, in Kokologho, Upper Volta) was a politician from Upper Volta (now Burkina Faso). In 1948 Boni was elected to the French National Assembly on behalf of the Voltaic Union (UV), and was re-elected in 1951 running on the Economic and Social Action in the Interests of Upper Volta list, although he remained a UV member.
