''The Nation's Business'' is a Canadian free-time political television series which began on CBC Television in 1956. The show, which was established with the consultation of the Canadian political parties, initially was 10 minutes long but was increased to 15 by the end of the year. Premise The series began in early 1956 as a ten-minute time slot in which federal political parties could address television viewers. Initially, it aired on opposite weeks to ''The Rhythm Pals''. CBC Television (also known as CBC TV) is a Canadian English-language broadcast television network owned by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, the national public broadcaster. The network began operations on September 6, 1952. Its French-language counterpart is Ici Radio-Canada Télé. CBOT-DT (channel 4) is a CBC Television station in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is part of a twinstick with Ici Radio-Canada Télé station CBOFT-DT (channel 9). Both stations share studios at the CBC Ottawa Production Centre on Queen Street (across from the Confederation Line light rail station) in Downtown Ottawa, alongside the main corporate offices of the CBC; CBOT-DT's transmitter is located on the Ryan Tower at Camp Fortune in Chelsea, Quebec, north of Gatineau. The University of Toronto Press is a Canadian university press founded in 1901. Although it was founded in 1901, the press did not actually publish any books until 1911. The press originally printed only examination books and the university calendar. Its first scholarly book was a work by a classics professor at University College, Toronto. The press took control of the university bookstore in 1933. It employed a novel typesetting method to print issues of the ''Canadian Journal of Mathematics'', founded in 1949. Queen's University at Kingston, commonly known as Queen's University or simply Queen's, is a public research university in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Queen's holds more than of land throughout Ontario and owns Herstmonceux Castle in East Sussex, England. Queen's is organized into eight faculties and schools. The Church of Scotland established Queen's College in October 1841 via a royal charter from Queen Victoria.
