TLC (TV Series)
''TLC'' is a darkly surreal farce-like sitcom set in a fictional NHS hospital called South Middlesex. Written by Fintan Coyle, co-creator of hit game show ''Weakest Link'', it was first broadcast on the BBC on 11 November 2002 and ran over six episodes until 16 December. There were some very mixed opinions on the show among both critics and viewers, but it achieved decent ratings and featured an excellent comedy cast including Richard Griffiths, Alexander Armstrong and ''The League of Gentlemen's'' Reece Shearsmith. The series was released on DVD in the UK on 29 October 2007. The Transitional Learning Center (TLC) is a post-acute brain injury rehabilitation facility headquartered in the island city of Galveston, Texas. It was started by the non-profit Moody Foundation in 1982, in response to a brain injury suffered by a son of trustee Robert L. Moody. The center provides survivors of acute brain injury with rehabilitation services needed to help patients overcome their injuries and regain independence. The Trades and Labor Congress of Canada was a Canada-wide central federation of trade unions from 1886 to 1956. It was founded at the initiative of the Toronto Trades and Labour Council and the Knights of Labor. TLC Camp
TLC Camp is a privately held 501(c) 3 organization in Illinois, United States that provides a free one-week summer camp for children with cancer and their siblings. TLC (Togetherness in Love and Care) is held annually during the third week of June at Sunset Knoll Park in Lombard, Illinois (TLC Camp 2009). Its purpose is to provide an opportunity for these children to experience a week of fun activities that allows them a break from the rigors of treatment and worry; to enjoy life as a normal child. What separates TLC from other camps of this sort is the inclusion of siblings, who experience the stresses of living with a cancer-stricken brother or sister (Tennison 1993).
