Tōzai Line (Kobe)
The Hanshin Kobe Kosoku Line (阪神神戸高速線 ''Hanshin Kōbe Kōsoku sen'') is one of three lines of the Kobe Rapid Transit Railway, operated by Hanshin Electric Railway, Hanshin Railway and Hankyu Railway. Trains from Hanshin, Hankyu and Sanyo Electric Railway, Sanyo railways enter this line. Since the Tozai Line connects three lines, it has three termini: Nishidai Station (Hyogo), Nishidai in the west, Hankyu Railway, Hankyu Sannomiya Station, Sannomiya and Motomachi Station (Hyogo), Motomachi in the east. All three were opened in 1968. Tracks from the three termini meet at Kosoku-Kobe Station, Kosoku-Kobe. Unlike the Namboku Line (Kobe), Namboku Line, it has standard gauge rail tracks, tracks, . Sannomiya-Hanadokeimae Station
is one of the termini on the Kobe Municipal Subway Kaigan Line in Chūō-ku, Kobe, Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan. This station is part of a complex shared with , which is used by the Seishin-Yamate Line, the Hanshin Main Line, and the Port Liner. Free transfers are available from the Kaigan Line station to the Seishin-Yamate Line station, but passengers are limited to 90 minutes to change trains when using regular tickets and IC cards. Kaigan Line
The , also known as the "Yumekamome" (), is one of two lines of the Kobe Municipal Subway. Trains of the line are propelled by linear motors. This is the third linear motor rapid transit line to be built in Japan. History Construction of the line began in 1994 but was interrupted by the Great Hanshin earthquake which hit Kobe in 1995. Despite the cross section of the tunnels being smaller compared to a conventional subway tunnel, there was still a substantial amount of construction happening at surface level. After being scheduled for a 1999 opening, revenue service began in 2001. Since opening, ridership numbers have stagnated. The projected ridership within 2001 was estimated to be 80,000 boardings, the actual boardings recorded were just over 34,000 in that year. The goal of 50,000 boardings by 2020 was also not achieved. The is a rapid transit system in Kobe, Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan. Like other large Japanese cities, Kobe's subway system is heavily complemented by suburban rail. In addition, two people mover lines also serve the Kobe area: the Port Island Line and the Rokko Island Line. The , commonly known as is an urban automated guideway transit (AGT) system in Kobe, Japan, operated by Kobe New Transit. The initial system linked Sannomiya Station, Kobe's main transit hub, to the man-made Port Island, covering a distance of with 9 stations. Route As the map indicates, the present system consists of one straight line, originating at Sannomiya Station and terminating at Kobe Airport Station, and a loop attached to the middle of the straight line. The stations on the former are numbered with prefix "P" and on the latter (except those shared with the former) are with prefix "PL".
