Region Zealand () is an Regions of Denmark, administrative region of Denmark. Tølløse Line
The Tølløse Line () (previously Høng-Tølløse Jernbane (HTJ) is a long standard gauge single track (rail), single track local railway, local passenger railway line between Tølløse and Slagelse in the western part of the island of Zealand, Denmark. It runs from Tølløse station on the Northwest Line (Denmark), Northwest Line to Slagelse station on the Copenhagen–Fredericia/Taulov Line, through a mainly rural area. The section from Tølløse to Høng opened in 1901, whereas the section from Høng to Slagelse opened in 1898 as part of the now closed Slagelse-Værslev Line. The railway is currently operated by the railway company Lokaltog. Lokaltog runs frequent local train services from Tølløse station to Slagelse station. Mads Pedersen (cyclist)
Mads Pedersen (born 18 December 1995) is a Danish professional racing cyclist, who rides for UCI WorldTeam . He has won stages in all three Grand Tours — the Tour de France, Giro d'Italia, and Vuelta a España. He won the men's road race at the 2019 UCI Road World Championships in Yorkshire, England, becoming the first and so far only Danish cyclist to win the men's World Championship road race title. John Axelsen
John Paul Pultz Pinnerup Axelsen (born 23 January 1998) is a Danish professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. He was a member of the Danish team that won the Eisenhower Trophy in 2018. He has won four times on the Nordic Golf League as well as winning the Nordic Golf League Order of Merit in 2022. Amateur career Axelsen was born in Holbæk, Denmark and was introduced to golf by his father when he was 5. At a young age, Axelsen showed considerable talent, winning English boys under-13 (Reid Trophy) and medals at the European Boys under-16 championship (European Young Masters) in 2012, 2013 and 2014. Thomas Bruun Eriksen (born 13 February 1979) was a Danish professional road bicycle racer who ended his career after the 2005 UCI ProTour season. After riding for Danish amateur outfit Team Bornholm, Bruun Eriksen first joined professional outfit Team CSC as a stagiaire in the second half of the 2001 season. Michael Rasmussen (cyclist)
Michael Rasmussen (born 1 June 1974) is a retired Danish professional cyclist who competed in road racing and mountain biking. His most notable victories include four stages of the Tour de France (shared Danish record), and one stage of the Vuelta a España. He also won the best climber classification in the 2005 and 2006 Tour de France. Specializing in climbing, Rasmussen showed a propensity for attempting spectacular wins in mountain stages in which he broke away from the peloton early and rode alone for most of the stage. Michael Rasmussen was known for his care for detail when considering weight. With a low weight (60 kg) he was usually one of the lightest riders in his class. Peter Johansen Neergaard (1769–1835)
Peter Johansen (de) Neergaard (24 July 1769 – 9 January 1835) was a Danish landowner. He was one of the largest landowners of his time in Denmark. His father was ennobled under the name de Neergaard in 1780. Early life Neergaard was born at Tølløsegård, the eldest son of Johan Thomas Neergaard and Anna Joachimine Qvistgaard (1750–1829). Christian Detlev Reventlow
Christian Detlev, Count von Reventlow (21 June 1671 – 1 October 1738) was a Royal Dano-Norwegian Army officer and diplomat. Biography He was the son of Conrad, Count Reventlow, chancellor of Denmark, and his first wife, Anna Margarethe Gabel (1651–1678). He was a brother of Christine Sophie Holstein (1672–1757) and a half-brother of Anne Sophie Reventlow (1693–1743), second wife and queen consort of King Frederick IV of Denmark. Reventlow had a military career and fought in the Danish contingent against the French during the War of the Grand Alliance. Birgitte Gøye
Birgitte Gøye (1511 - 26 July 1574) was a Danish county administrator, lady in waiting, landholder and noble, co-founder and principal of Herlufsholm School. Biography She was the daughter of Mogens Gøye and Mette Bydelsbak and the sister of Eline Gøye. She was raised in a convent, Ringkloster, and in 1538 became lady in waiting to Queen Dorothea of Saxe-Lauenburg. She had been engaged against her will by her family to Jesper Daa in 1525, but in 1540, she was freed from the engagement, which until 1582 was as binding as a marriage. Thanks to her friendship with the queen, the king had professors and bishops investigate the matter and then issued a new law that banned parents from arranging engagements for their minor children. She married courtier Herluf Trolle in 1544. She had no issue, but raised many foster daughters from the nobility in her home and arranged their marriages. Holbæk Municipality () is a '' kommune'' in northwestern Region Sjælland on the island of Zealand in Denmark. The municipality includes the island of Orø, and covers an area of 583 km², and has a total population of 74,490 (2025).
