"Two World Wars and One World Cup" is a football song sung by supporters of the England national football team to the tune of "Camptown Races" as part of the England–Germany football rivalry. The chant refers to the United Kingdom's victories in the First and Second World Wars, and England's 4–2 victory against West Germany after extra time in the final of the 1966 FIFA World Cup. The chant has also spawned similar chants such as "Stand up if you won the war" to the tune of " Go West". "Ten German Bombers" is a children's song with the tune of "She'll Be Coming 'Round the Mountain". It has been adopted as a football chant by English football fans, and is sung mainly at football matches during international competitions, namely the UEFA Euros and FIFA World Cup, especially in games against Germany. It has been criticised as discriminatory by both UEFA and the Football Association, with fans who chant it facing bans from competitions. The Germans
"The Germans" is the sixth episode of the first series of the British television sitcom '' Fawlty Towers''. Written by John Cleese and Connie Booth and directed by John Howard Davies, it was first broadcast on BBC2 on 24 October 1975. The episode revolves around Basil's attempts to successfully run the hotel alone whilst Sybil is in hospital. Whilst attempting to run a fire drill, a real fire begins in the hotel kitchen, resulting in Basil becoming concussed. Discharging himself from hospital, Basil arrives in time to greet a party of German guests, but he is unable to hide his anti-German sentiment towards them. The episode has been featured on several "best of" episode lists and is regarded as being one of the most popular episodes in the series.
