Turkish Curling Federation
Turkish Curling Federation () is the governing body for the sport of curling in Turkey. Established as an independent federation in 2016, it is headquartered in Çankaya, Ankara. History Initially, curling sport activities in Turkey were governed by the Turkish Ice Skating Federation (TBPF). On 20 January 2015, the Turkish Curling Federation (TCF) was formed independently, separating from the TBPF with the approval of the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The first president of the federation, Kenan Şebin, was elected at the general assembly held on 21 January 2016. The president took office with the approval of the Ministry on 26 February 2016. The federation's Board of Directors was formed in accordance with the regulations on sport federations, and it started its duty with the approval of the Ministry on 5 May 2016. World Junior Curling Championships
The World Junior Curling Championships are an annual curling bonspiel featuring the world's best curlers who are 21 years old or younger. The competitions for both men and women occur at the same venue. The men's tournament has occurred since 1975 and the women's since 1988. Since curling became an Olympic Games, Olympic sport in 1998 Winter Olympics, 1998, the World Junior Curling Championship of the year preceding the Olympic Games have been held at the site of the curling tournament for the upcoming Games. The event had its origins with the Ontario Junior Masters Curling Championship, which began in 1968 and, at first, mostly consisted of teams in the Greater Toronto Area. Eventually the event was renamed to the International Junior Masters Bonspiel and began attracting teams from other countries. European Junior Curling Challenge
The European Junior Curling Challenge was an annual curling bonspiel held in the World Curling Federation's Europe zone. The challenge featured curlers under the age of 21 competing to qualify for a spot in the World Junior Curling Championships. Nations that participated were those which have not already qualified for the World Junior Championships. This event, as well as the Pacific-Asia Junior Curling Championships were replaced by the World Junior B Curling Championships in 2016. The 2013 European Junior Curling Challenge was held from January 3 to 8 at the Curling Hall Roztyly in Prague, Czech Republic. Nations in the Europe zone that have not already qualified for the World Junior Curling Championships participated in the curling challenge.
