Trebišov
Trebišov (; ; ) is a small industrial town in the easternmost part of Slovakia, with a population of around 25,000. The town is an administrative, economic and cultural center with machine (Vagónka) and building materials industries. History The first archaeological findings are from the Neolithic. Tombs were found from the Otomani Culture of the early Bronze Age and the building structures from Hallstatt Culture from late Bronze Age. The name of Trebišov is first mentioned in 1219 as ''Terebus'', later in 1254 as ''Terebes'', and in 1341 as ''Therebes'', in 1441 the sources depict as ''Felse Terebes'', ''Also Terebes'' (Upper and Lower Trebišov). The village is also mentioned in 1330, when it received town status for the first time. The castle and the village became one settlement in the 14th century. Kaplon (genus)
Kaplon, also Kaplony or Kaplyon (''Caplon, Coplyon, Caplan, Coplyan, Kaplyn, Koplon, Koplen, Kopplyan''), was the name of a ''gens'' (Latin for "clan"; ''nemzetség'' in Hungarian) in the Kingdom of Hungary. The founder and ancestor of the genus was Kaplon (chieftain), Kaplon (or Cupan), the second son of Kond (chieftain), Kond, who was one of the seven chieftains of the Magyars according to Bele Regis Notarius, Anonymus, author of the ''Gesta Hungarorum''. The clan's original tribal area was the Nyírség, northeastern part of the Great Hungarian Plain. The distinguished and influential Károlyi, Károlyi family originates from the Genus Kaplon. Philip Drugeth
Philip Drugeth (also Druget, , , ; ''c''. 1288 – June or July 1327) was a Kingdom of Naples, Neapolitan knight of Kingdom of France, French origin, who accompanied the twelve-year-old pretender Charles I of Hungary, Charles of Anjou to Kingdom of Hungary, Hungary in 1300. After Charles I defeated his enemies in the struggle for the throne, Drugeth gained large-scale domains and held various ''ispánates'' in the northeastern parts of the kingdom, establishing there a semi-autonomous Drugeth Province, province. Drugeth integrated into the Hungarian nobility and is considered the founder of the powerful Drugeth family, which overwhelmingly dominated the royal court until the 1340s, but also continued to be important until the male line died out in the 17th century. Peter, son of Petenye (, ; died 1318/1321) was a Hungarian lord at the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries. Initially a loyal supporter of King Charles I of Hungary, Charles I, he turned against the royal power and established a ''de facto'' independent province in Zemplén County after 1312, exploiting that political vacuum, which emerged following the dissolution of the Aba (genus), Abas' dominion. The districts of Slovakia are administrative units known as in the Slovak language. It is a second-tier territorial administrative unit, below a Region () in standing, and superior to a municipality (). Each district contains at least several municipalities. The cities of Bratislava and Košice are the only cities in Slovakia divided into internal urban districts, with five in Bratislava, and four in Košice. These urban districts are then further divided into smaller boroughs (which serve a function analogous to municipalities in typical districts). All other districts are larger in size and also include rural areas, and rural as well as urban municipalities. Each of these more typical districts has an urban centre serving as the seat of the district, usually the largest town (or the only town) of a given district. Matthias Corvinus (; ; ; ; ; ) was King of Hungary and Croatia from 1458 to 1490, as Matthias I. He is often given the epithet "the Just". After conducting several military campaigns, he was elected King of Bohemia in 1469 and adopted the title Duke of Austria in 1487. He was the son of John Hunyadi, Regent of Hungary, who died in 1456. In 1457, Matthias was imprisoned along with his older brother, Ladislaus Hunyadi, on the orders of King Ladislaus the Posthumous. Ladislaus Hunyadi was executed, causing a rebellion that forced King Ladislaus to flee Hungary.
