Angelika Trabert
Dr. Angelika Trabert (born 9 October 1967), is a German doctor and para-equestrian rider. She made her international debut in 1991, and went on to compete at five consecutive Summer Paralympics for her country, winning silver and bronze multiple medals. In addition, she was the 2009 European Champion in freestyle. Outside of the sport, she is an Anaesthetist who has worked internationally, including providing medical care in rural Africa. Career Angelika Trabert was born on 9 October 1967 in Frankfurt, West Germany. She has dysmelia, a congenital disability which means that she was born without legs, and with only three fingers on her right hand. At the age of six, she began to ride horses and went on to compete internationally for Germany from 1991 onwards, in the Paralympic classification of grade II. Bettina Trabert (born 4 March 1969) is a German chess player who holds the FIDE title of Woman Grandmaster (WGM, 2000). Biography Trabert started playing chess at the age of eight. In 1983, at the age of fourteen, she won second place in the German Junior Chess Championship in the U20 girls' group. In 1987, in Erlangen, Trabert won Women's World Chess Championship Zonal Tournament. In 1987, she participated in the Women's World Chess Championship Interzonal Tournament in Tuzla and shared 13th-14th place with Rohini Khadilkar. Gerhard Max Trabert (born 3 July 1956) is a German public figure. By profession he is a general practitioner and emergency medicine doctor but is also known as a professor of social medicine and social psychiatry, as well as an author of books. In the 1970s, he was involved in professional sports. He was also a political candidate for Die Linke in the 2022 German presidential election and the 2021 German federal election. He will be the top candidate on the Rhineland-Palatinate state list in the 2025 German federal election. Life and work Gerhard Trabert was born in Mainz in July 1956. Marion Anthony Trabert (August 16, 1930 – February 3, 2021) was an American amateur world No. 1 tennis champion and long-time tennis author, TV commentator, instructor, and motivational speaker. Trabert was ranked world No. 1 amateur by many sources in 1953, by Ned Potter and ''The New York Times'' in 1954 and by Lance Tingay and Ned Potter in 1955. He was the winner of ten Grand Slam titles – five in singles and five in doubles. He won two French singles championships, two U.S. National Men's Singles Championships, and one Wimbledon gentlemen's singles championship.
