Antonio Griffo Focas Flavio Angelo Ducas Comneno Porfirogenito Gagliardi De Curtis di Bisanzio (15 February 1898 – 15 April 1967), best known by his stage name Totò (), or simply as Antonio de Curtis, and nicknamed ''il principe della risata'' ("the prince of laughter"), was an Italian actor, comedian, screenwriter, dramatist, poet, singer and lyricist. He is commonly referred to as one of the most popular Italian performers of all time. While best known for his funny and sometimes cynical comic characters in theatre and then many successful comedy films made from the 1940s to the 1960s, he also worked with many iconic Italian film directors in dramatic roles. ''Cops and Robbers'' () is a 1951 Italian cult comedy film directed by Steno and Mario Monicelli. It stars the famous comedian Totò, and the cinematographer was the future film director Mario Bava. It was produced by Dino De Laurentiis and Carlo Ponti. Its style is close to Italian neorealism. Released in Italian cinemas in November 1951 and shown in competition at the Cannes Film Festival in 1952, earned the award for Piero Tellini the script and Totò the Nastro d'Argento. Liliana Focas Flavio Angelo Ducas Comneno de Curtis di Bisanzio Gagliardi (10 May 1933 – 3 June 2022), commonly known as Liliana de Curtis, was an Italian actress. She was the daughter of Totò and Diana Rogliani. Early life De Curtis was born in Rome, Italy, on 10 May 1933. Her given name was chosen by Totò in memory of Liliana Castagnola, to whom the Neapolitan actor had been romantically linked before joining Diana Rogliani and who had committed suicide for him. Career De Curtis had a brief experience in cinema, participating in the shooting of the film ''Saint John, the Beheaded'' in 1940 and appearing in the 1954 film ''Orient Express.'' Peppino De Filippo
Giuseppe "Peppino" De Filippo (24 August 1903 – 27 January 1980) was an Italian actor. De Filippo was born in Naples, brother of actor and dramatist Eduardo De Filippo and of Titina De Filippo. He made his stage debut at the age of six. He played in several movies such as '' Rome-Paris-Rome'', ''Variety Lights'', '' A Day in Court'', '' Ferdinand I, King of Naples'' and ''Boccaccio '70''.
