Tosmurlu
Tosmurlu is a neighbourhood in the municipality and district of Silifke, Mersin Province, Turkey. Its population is 1,203 (2022). It is situated to the north of Turkish state highway State road D.715 (Turkey), D.715 and to the west of Silifke. The distance to Silifke is and to Mersin is . According to the village web page the village was founded by the Yörüks (once nomadic Oghuz Turk, Turkmans) about two centuries ago. The village economy depends on cereal agriculture. Silifke is a municipality and Districts of Turkey, district of Mersin Province, Mersin Province, Turkey. Its area is 2,692 km2, and its population is 132,665 (2022). Mersin () is a large city and port on the Mediterranean Sea, Mediterranean coast of Mediterranean Region, Turkey, southern Turkey. It is the provincial capital of the Mersin Province (formerly İçel). Yörüks
The Yörüks, also Yuruks or Yorouks (; , ''Youroúkoi''; ; , ''Juruci''), are a Turkish ethnic subgroup of Oghuz descent, some of whom are nomadic, primarily inhabiting the mountains of Anatolia, and partly in the Balkan peninsula. Oghuz Turk
The Oghuz Turks ( Middle Turkic: , ) were a western Turkic people who spoke the Oghuz branch of the Turkic language family. In the 8th century, they formed a tribal confederation conventionally named the Oghuz Yabgu State in Central Asia.
