Tornado Outbreak Sequence Of March 24–28, 2021
A significant tornado outbreak sequence took place from March 24–28, 2021 in the Southern United States, just one week after Tornado outbreak of March 16–18, 2021, another outbreak affected similar regions. There were 43 tornadoes confirmed across 11 states, with the bulk of activity primarily on March 25, which resulted in the Storm Prediction Center (SPC) issuing its second List of Storm Prediction Center high risk days, high-risk outlook for the month of March, as well as the second high-risk outlook for 2021. Several intense tornadoes touched down on that day, including ones that prompted the issuance of rare tornado emergency, tornado emergencies near Hoover, Alabama, Brent, Alabama, Brent and Centreville, Alabama, and in the Newnan, Georgia area. GOES-16
GOES-16, formerly known as GOES-R before reaching geostationary orbit, is the first of the GOES-R series of Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite, Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellites (GOES) operated by NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). East Texas is a broadly defined cultural, geographic, and ecological region in the eastern part of the U.S. state of Texas that consists of approximately 38 counties. Centreville, Mississippi
Centreville is a town in Amite and Wilkinson counties, Mississippi, United States. It is part of the McComb, Mississippi micropolitan statistical area. Its population was 1,258 in 2020. Bethany Presbyterian Church is a historic church in Centreville, built in 1855, and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2003. The town was incorporated in 1880, and it was a small settlement in the years prior. In 1880, the Yazoo and Mississippi Valley R.R. ran along the border between Wilkinson and Amite counties. Because the station was approximately midway between Liberty and Woodville and about midway between Natchez and Baton Rouge, it was appropriately named Centreville. Geography Centreville is located within Wilkinson County, with a portion in adjacent Amite County.
