Thunderbird 2 Pod Vehicles
The following is a list of land, air, sea and space vehicles that appear in the 1960s British Supermarionation television series ''Thunderbirds (TV series), Thunderbirds'' or Works based on Thunderbirds, its adaptations. Many of the futuristic craft seen in the productions were designed by ''Thunderbirds'' special effects director Derek Meddings. The most prominent vehicles are the five principal rescue craft of the International Rescue organisation: the "''Thunderbird'' machines" (after which the series was named). Supermarionation
Supermarionation (a portmanteau of the words "super", " marionette" and "animation")La Rivière 2009, p. 67. is a style of television and film production employed by British company AP Films (later Century 21 Productions) in its puppet TV series and feature films of the 1960s. These productions were created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson and filmed at APF's studios on the Slough Trading Estate. The characters were played by electronic marionettes with a moveable lower lip, which opened and closed in time with pre-recorded dialogue by means of a solenoid in the puppet's head or chest. The productions were mostly science fiction with the puppetry supervised by Christine Glanville, art direction by either Bob Bell or Keith Wilson, and music composed by Barry Gray. Forward-swept Wing
A forward-swept wing or reverse-swept wing is an aircraft wing configuration in which the quarter-chord line of the wing has a forward sweep. Typically, the leading edge also sweeps forward. Aircraft with forward-swept are more maneuverable, due to being able to safely sustain higher attack angles. However, they are harder to fly. Tin-Tin Kyrano
Tin-Tin Kyrano is a fictional character introduced in the 1960s British Supermarionation television series '' Thunderbirds''. In the original TV series and its film sequels, Tin-Tin is voiced by Christine Finn, while in the 2004 live-action film, the character was played by Vanessa Hudgens. In the remake series, she was reimagined as "Kayo" Kyrano and voiced by Angel Coulby. Original series Development Sylvia Anderson, ''Thunderbirds'' co-producer and character co-creator, wrote that Tin-Tin was conceived mainly to "redress the balance" of the "male-dominated" main puppet cast. The Tracy family are the main characters in the 1960s British Supermarionation television series '' Thunderbirds'' and its adaptations, set in the 21st century. Originating from the United States, the family live on Tracy Island in the South Pacific Ocean. ''Thunderbirds Are Go'' is a science fiction television programme produced by ITV Studios and Pukeko Pictures. It uses a combination of computer-generated animation and live-action models. It is a remake of the series '' Thunderbirds'' created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson which follows the exploits of International Rescue (IR), a rescue organisation run by the Tracy family out of their secret island base in the Pacific Ocean. They use technologically-advanced craft for land, sea, air and space rescues in their operations, the most important of which are a set of vehicles called the '' Thunderbirds'', piloted by the five Tracy brothers. ''Thunderbirds'' is a 2004 science fiction action-adventure film directed by Jonathan Frakes, written by William Osborne and Michael McCullers, and based on the television series of the same name created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson. The film's plot concerns the Hood, who traps International Rescue (IR) leader Jeff Tracy and four of his sons on board the damaged '' Thunderbird 5'' to steal the other ''Thunderbird'' vehicles and commit crimes that IR will be blamed for, prompting Jeff's youngest son Alan and his friends Tin-Tin and Fermat to stop him.
