Tom O'Halloran is an Australian rock climber who specialises in competition climbing, sport climbing, bouldering. Climbing career Competition climbing While O'Halloran is mainly a non-competitive rock climber, he decided to come out of competition retirement in an attempt to make the Olympic team. He qualified for the 2020 Summer Olympics by winning the combined men's format in the 2020 IFSC Oceania Championships. O'Halloran finished twentieth in the Qualification round, his best effort being placed seventeenth for speed. He, therefore, did not compete in the finals. Detailed results are in Australia at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Rock climbing An accomplished sport climber, he has bolted many of Australia's hardest sport climbing routes. He is also a boulderer and in 2017, he climbed ''The Wheel of Life'', a notable boulder problem. Thomas Shuldham O'Halloran
Thomas Shuldham O'Halloran (25 October 1797 – 16 August 1870) was the first Police Commissioner and first Police Magistrate of South Australia. Early life O'Halloran was born in Berhampore (now Baharampur) India, the second of eight sons of Major-General Sir Joseph O'Halloran, by his wife, Frances, daughter of Colonel Nicholas Bayly, M.P., and niece of Henry, 1st Earl of Uxbridge. Thomas was a grandson of Irish surgeon Sylvester O'Halloran, and brother to William Littlejohn O'Halloran. O'Halloran entered the Royal Military College, Sandhurst (or Marlow) in 1808 and at 16 he was commissioned into the 17th Foot and sailed for India. He served in the Nepal war during the years 1814, 1815, and 1816, became lieutenant in June 1817, and served in the Deccan war during that and the following year. On 1 August 1821 he married Miss Anne Goss of Dawlish, Devonshire, who died in 1823 in Calcutta, leaving two children. In 1822 he exchanged from the 17th to the 44th Regiment, which h ... Thomas Shuldham O'Halloran KC. (23 February 1865 – 7 June 1945) was a noted lawyer and Australian rules football administrator in South Australia. He was a grandson of Thomas Shuldham O'Halloran, South Australia's first Police Commissioner. History O'Halloran was born at O'Halloran Hill, South Australia the eldest son of T. J. S. O'Halloran, SM, and the grandson of his namesake, Major Thomas Shuldham O'Halloran, South Australia's first Police Commissioner. He was educated at St Peter's College and trained as a lawyer, reading his articles with Louis von Doussa at Mount Barker. He was admitted to the bar in 1887 and joined in partnership with O. Mostyn Evan. He next joined the firm of Gordon, Nesbit, and Bright, then in 1896 started his own law office. In 1921 he took in as partner his nephew D.
