Matjaž Klopčič
Matjaž Klopčič (4 December 1934 – 15 December 2007) was a Slovenian film director and screenwriter. He directed 28 films between 1959 and 2005. His film ''Heritage'' () was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 1985 Cannes Film Festival. Many of his films starred Polde Bibič. He was the son of the poet Mile Klopčič, and the nephew of the Communist activist and historian France Klopčič. Slovene ( or ) or Slovenian ( ; ) is a South Slavic language of the Balto-Slavic branch of the Indo-European language family. Milena Zupančič
Milena Zupančič (born 18 December 1946) is a Slovenian actress. Biography Raised by a single mother, Zupančič finished high school in her hometown of Jesenice. Her first major appearances were two roles in films by Matjaž Klopčič, in ''Blossoms in Autumn'' (''Cvetje v jeseni''; 1973) and ''The Widowhood of Karolina Žašler'' (1976). She went on to star in a number of important film and television productions over the next four decades, winning two Golden Arena for Best Actress awards (in 1976 and 1977) and the Prešeren Award for Lifetime Achievement (1993). She is also known for starring in many theatre productions staged by the Ljubljana National Drama Theatre. From 2000 to 2011 she was UNICEF regional ambassador for the Western Balkans. Zupančič is married to theatre director Dušan Jovanović, and was previously married to actor Radko Polič. Zlatko Šugman
Zlatko Šugman (28 August 1932 – 16 December 2008) was one of Slovenia's best known theater, television and film actors. Šugman was born in Gorišnica, which is located near Ptuj, in what was then Yugoslavia on 28 August 1932. He was a graduate of the Ljubljana Academy of Acting. He appeared in numerous Slovenian and Yugoslavia, Yugoslav theater and film roles throughout his decades long career. Known for his comedic work, Šugman's first appeared in the 1962 film, ''Tistega lepega dne'' (''One Fine Day''), which was directed by France Štiglic. On television, Šugman appeared in monodramas, comedy series and children's shows. Šugman was a member of the SLG Celje Theater from 1958 until 1961 and the SNG Drama Maribor in Maribor, Slovenia, from 1961 until 1965. He remained a member of the Mestno gledalisce ljubljansko (MGL) theatre, the Ljubljana city theater, for 27 years. Radko Polič
Radko Polič (18 August 1942 – 15 September 2022) was a Slovenian theatre, television and film actor. Biography Born in Črnomelj, Polič's family moved to Belgrade in 1945 and then to West Berlin in 1949 before returning to Slovenia and settling in Ljubljana in 1954. He started acting in the early 1960s and during his career spanning over four decades, he played in over 150 theatre and film productions. He starred in stage productions all around Slovenia and appeared in a number of Yugoslav feature films. Polič won numerous awards for his work, including the Golden Arena for Best Actor at the 1976 Pula Film Festival and the Best Actor award at the 10th Moscow International Film Festival for his role in Igor Pretnar's film ''Idealist'', and the Prešeren Award for Life Achievement in 2007.
