''The Wheel'' is a British television game show hosted by Michael McIntyre, broadcast on Saturday evenings on BBC One. Production McIntyre explained that he first thought of ideas for ''The Wheel'' while taking a bath, envisioning the idea of a "human roulette wheel". He pondered that there had been "so many talent shows" on British television, but not many "brand new" game shows. Seeking formats that could be easily produced under COVID-19 safety protocols such as social distancing (eased by design due to its large studio set at Bovingdon Airfield in Hertfordshire), the BBC picked up ''The Wheel'' as a ''de facto'' substitute for McIntyre's variety show series ''Michael McIntyre's Big Show'' (which was not feasible to produce due to its heavy reliance on live audience participation). MTV3
MTV3 (, ) is a Finnish commercial television channel owned and operated by the media company MTV Oy, originally launched on 13 August 1957 as a programming block, becoming its own channel on 1 January 1993. It had the biggest audience share of all Finnish TV channels until Yle TV1 (from Yle) took the lead. MTV actually stands for Mainos-TV (literally "Advertisement-TV", i.e. "Commercial TV), due to the channel carrying advertising for revenue. Number 3 was added later, when the channel was allocated the third nationwide television channel and it generally became known as "Channel Three"— Finnish Broadcasting Company's Yle TV1 and Yle TV2 being the first two—and also to distinguish it from the later MTV Finland, which is a Finnish version of Paramount's MTV channel. Petra Maria Mede (; born 7 March 1970) is a Swedish comedian, dancer, actress and television presenter. Mede is known for her several roles in comic shows and as a television presenter, and is best known outside of Sweden for hosting the Eurovision Song Contest in , , and , and appearing as a guest performer in . Juan Ramón "Juanra" Bonet Alba (born 6 June 1974) is a Spanish television presenter, actor and comedian. He has presented several game shows for Antena 3, having his longest run with '' ¡Boom!'' from 2014 to 2021. Antena 3 (''Antena Tres'') is a Spanish terrestrial television channel part of Atresmedia, of which it is the flagship station. Its current headquarters are located in San Sebastián de los Reyes. SBS6 is a Dutch free-to-cable commercial TV channel and is a part of Talpa TV, formerly known as SBS Broadcasting B.V. and now owned by Talpa Network. Other channels of the group in the Netherlands are Net5, Veronica, and SBS9. History SBS stands for Scandinavian Broadcasting System. When the SBS Broadcasting Group started expanding outside of Scandinavia in 1995, one of the first countries where they set up a channel was the Netherlands with SBS6. Jacques Essebag (born 10 March 1966), better known by his stage name Arthur, is a French television presenter, producer, and comedian. After dropping from law studies, he began his career as a host on local radio in the Paris region in the late 1980s.
