The Story (Brandi Carlile Song)
"The Story" is a song released as a single by American folk rock singer Brandi Carlile, written by Phil Hanseroth, from her 2007 album '' The Story''. It is one of Carlile's best-known songs and has been included in the setlist of all of her concert tours to date. The song was featured in ''Grey's Anatomy'' on April 12, 2007 and is on Grey's Anatomy Soundtrack album 3 (released September 11, 2007). It received renewed attention when a cover version was recorded by ''Grey's Anatomy'' actor Sara Ramirez and included in the 2011 musical episode " Song Beneath the Song". The track was later covered by LeAnn Rimes for her '' Remnants'' album, and by Dolly Parton for the charity tribute album '' Cover Stories''. ''The Story'' is the second album by American singer-songwriter Brandi Carlile, and was released on April 3, 2007. The album peaked at number 41 in the ''Billboard'' 200 on May 5, 2007. ''The Story'' was produced by T Bone Burnett and recorded over eleven days on two-inch audio tape in The Warehouse Studios in Vancouver, British Columbia. The album also features the guitarists and songwriters Phil and Tim Hanseroth, drummer Matt Chamberlain, cellist Josh Neumann and backing vocals by the Indigo Girls on "Cannonball". The album was re-recorded as '' Cover Stories'' featuring various artists covering the songs such as Dolly Parton, Pearl Jam and Adele in aid of the charity War Child. Television exposure " The Story" was used in an episode of ''Grey's Anatomy''. A video was created, first airing on the season 3 recap episode, " Every Moment Counts". The Story Museum
The Story Museum is a museum in Oxford, England. It aims to encourage education and support community engagement by exploring all forms of stories. It is a registered charity under English law. Highlights include a Whispering Wood, an Enchanted Library and Small Worlds, a dedicated space for younger children as well as a 100-seat theatre, a learning studio and a temporary exhibition space. Mount Oswald is a manor house in Durham, County Durham, England. The house, which is now Durham County Council's The Story museum, is a Grade II listed building. The surviving parkland associated with the house is including in Durham County Council's Local List of Historic Parks, Gardens and Designed Landscapes. History The manor house was built for John Richardby, a London merchant, in 1800. It was bought by Thomas Wilkinson (1752-1825), a former mayor of Durham, in 1806 and it then passed to the Rev Percival Spearman Wilkinson (1792-1875), in 1828. The Rev Percival Spearman Wilkinson commissioned Phillip Wyatt to expand the house in the Georgian style in 1830.
