''The Reason'' is the second studio album by American rock band Hoobastank, released on December 9, 2003 by Island Records. Produced by Howard Benson, it was the band's last album to feature bassist Markku Lappaleinen prior to his departure in 2005. Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics, ''The Reason'' peaked at number three on the US ''Billboard'' 200 and was eventually certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America; currently, it has sold over 2.3 million copies in the United States alone. Four singles were released from the album: " Out of Control", the title track, " Same Direction", and " Disappear". Richard James Oliver (born 16 July 1975), formerly known as Jamie Oliver (not to be confused with the celebrity chef), is a Welsh artist, fitness instructor and former musician. He is known as the former keyboardist of No Devotion and former keyboardist, turntablist and supporting vocalist for the Welsh rock band Lostprophets. Oliver quit the music industry in 2017 in order to focus on his art career. Early life Oliver and the band remotely knew each other, as they were part of the same music scene. Ian Watkins (Lostprophets Singer)
Ian David Karslake Watkins (born 30 July 1977) is a Welsh former singer who was best known as the lead singer and frontman of the rock band Lostprophets. His career ended after he was sentenced to 29 years imprisonment in 2013 for multiple sex offences, including the sexual assault of young children and infants, and the possession of "extreme" child and animal pornographic material, a sentence later increased by ten months for having a mobile phone in prison. His bandmates disbanded Lostprophets shortly after his conviction and formed No Devotion with American singer Geoff Rickly. Lostprophets (stylised as lostprophets or LOSTPROPHETS) were a Welsh rock band from Pontypridd, formed in 1997 by singer Ian Watkins and guitarist Lee Gaze. The group was founded after their former band Fleshbind broke up. They later recruited Mike Lewis on guitars, Stuart Richardson on bass and Mike Chiplin on drums. Ozomatli is an American rock band, formed in 1995 in Los Angeles. They are known both for their vocal activist viewpoints and incorporating a wide array of musical styles – including salsa, jazz, funk, reggae, hip hop, and others.
