The Night Watchman's Wife
''The Night Watchman's Wife'' (Swedish: ''Nattvaktens hustru'') is a 1947 Swedish drama film directed by Bengt Palm and starring Åke Grönberg, Britta Holmberg and Sture Lagerwall.Krawc p.321 It was shot at the Centrumateljéerna Studios in Stockholm and on location around the city. The film's sets were designed by the art director Bertil Duroj. Synopsis Ingegerd arrives in Stockholm from the countryside to live with her sister. She encounters the charming Curt at Stockholm Central Station but then loses touch with him. Finding that her sister has died, and she has nowhere to go, she wanders the streets. She is eventually taken in by a kindly nightwatchmen, and they marry soon afterwards. Sometime later, however, she accidentally runs into Curt again who tries to charm her away. Sune Bergström
Karl Sune Detlof Bergström (10 January 1916 – 15 August 2004) was a Swedish biochemist. In 1975, he was appointed to the Nobel Foundation Board of Directors in Sweden, and was awarded the Louisa Gross Horwitz Prize from Columbia University, together with Bengt I. Samuelsson. He shared the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine with Bengt I. Samuelsson and John R. Vane in 1982, for discoveries concerning prostaglandins and related substances. Bergström was elected a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences in 1965, and its President in 1983. In 1965, he was also elected a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences. He was elected a Foreign Honorary Member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 1966. Linnéa Hillberg
Linnéa Paulina Hillberg ; 26 October 1892 – 3 July 1977) was a Swedish actress. Biography Born in Uddevalla on the Swedish west coast, Linnéa Hillberg made her stage debut in 1913. Early on she acted (1914–18) with the Karin Swanström Theatre Company and 1920–27 she was part of Ernst Eklund's Komediteatern (The Comedy Theatre). Hugo Björne (4 February 1886 – 14 February 1966) was a Swedish film and theater actor. Biography Ernst Hugo Alexis Björne was born in Varberg in Halland, Sweden. He made his stage debut in 1907 and belonged to the acting company of Hjalmar Selander until 1911 when he moved to the theater company of Einar Fröberg where he worked until 1914. Björne was involved at Svenska Teatern in Stockholm (1914–1925), at Vasateatern (1925–1926), at Oscarsteatern (1926–1932) and later at Vasateatern under the direction of Gösta Ekman (1932–1936).  After 1946, he became committed to the Royal Dramatic Theatre.
