The Color Clear
''The Color Clear'' is the third studio album by American metalcore band Reflections. The album was released on September 18, 2015, through eOne Music and Good Fight Entertainment. It was recorded and produced by Will Putney in Belleville, New Jersey. A music video was released for the first single from the album "Actias Luna" on August 18, 2015. To promote the album, a tour was held during the winter months at the end of 2015 and beginning of 2016. Content Musical direction The band's musical direction shifted greatly from their last album which led to a lot of mixed reviews and confusion amongst fans. Vocalist Jake Wolf explained "It’s a sound that was found while writing ''The Fantasy Effect'' and lost in the midst of writing and recording our album ''Exi(s)t''." Reflections (Minnesota Band)
Reflections is an American progressive metalcore band formed in the Twin Cities, Minnesota in 2010. Their logo is the Japanese language, Japanese Kanji , meaning ''king''. History On April 28, 2012, Reflections released their debut album, ''The Fantasy Effect'', which was home-produced and recorded by the band using Mixcraft, Mixcraft 4, a Windows music recording and mixing program. Soon after releasing ''The Fantasy Effect'', Reflections were signed to record labels eOne Music, eOne and Good Fight Entertainment, Good Fight. Reflections' second album and record label debut, titled ''Exi(s)t'', was released October 22, 2013. The album's first single, "My Cancer," was released for download through iTunes and all other digital retailers on September 10, 2013. The Independent Albums chart (previously titled Top Independent Albums) ranks the highest-selling independent music albums and extended plays (EPs) in the United States, as compiled by Nielsen SoundScan and published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine. It is used to list artists who are not signed to major labels. Rankings are compiled by point-of-purchase sales obtained by Nielsen, and from legal music downloads from a variety of online music stores. The chart began in the week of February 5, 2000. The Heatseekers charts were "Breaking and Entering" music charts issued weekly by ''Billboard'' magazine. The Heatseekers Albums and the Heatseekers Songs charts were introduced by ''Billboard'' in 1991 with the purpose of highlighting the sales by new and developing musical recording artists. Albums and songs appearing on Top Heatseekers would also concurrently appear on the ''Billboard'' 200 or ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Self-harm refers to intentional behaviors that cause harm to oneself. This is most commonly regarded as direct injury of one's own skin tissues, usually without suicidal intention. Other terms such as cutting, self-abuse, self-injury, and self-mutilation have been used for any self-harming behavior regardless of suicidal intent. Belleville (French: "Belle ville" meaning "beautiful town") is a township in Essex County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. Metalcore
Metalcore is a broadly defined fusion genre combining elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk, originating in the 1990s United States and becoming popular in the 2000s. Metalcore typically has aggressive verses and melodic choruses, combined with Breakdown (music), breakdowns – which are slow, intense passages conducive to moshing. Other defining traits are low-tuned, percussive guitar riffs, double bass drumming, and polished production. Vocalists typically switch between roaring or Screaming (music), screaming and clean, melodic, emotional singing. Lyrics are often personal, introspective and emotive.
