The Bishop's Stortford High School (often abbreviated to TBSHS) is a comprehensive school, comprehensive secondary school, with a Mixed-sex education, coeducational sixth form, in Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire, England. The school admits boys aged 11 to 16 in the first five years, with a mixed sixth form of boys and girls aged 16 to 18. The school has specialisms in Mathematics and Computing, focusing on these areas as well as music, drama and sport, possessing state-of-the-art in-house computing facilities and providing assistance to local schools in this area. The current Headmaster, Mr D. Reeve, was appointed in January 2014. In September 2024, the school moved to an all new purpose-built site on the nearby new development, St. James' Park from its original site at London Road. Cecil Rhodes
Cecil John Rhodes ( ; 5 July 185326 March 1902) was an English-South African mining magnate and politician in southern Africa who served as Prime Minister of the Cape Colony from 1890 to 1896. He and his British South Africa Company founded the southern African territory of Rhodesia (region), Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe and Zambia), which the company named after him in 1895. He also devoted much effort to realising his vision of a Cape to Cairo Railway through British territory. Rhodes set up the Rhodes Scholarship, which is funded by his estate. Ben Skirving (born 9 October 1983) is an English former rugby union footballer who played Premiership Rugby and in the RFU Championship, at number eight and flanker, for Saracens, Bath and Bristol. He was capped by England. He also represented England playing for the England Saxons and England Sevens sides. Edward James Drewett (born 1 April 1988) is a British singer and songwriter who is best known for his contributions and collaborations with acts such as One Direction, Little Mix, Jonas Blue, The Wanted, Olly Murs, and SG Lewis. George Robert James Sykes (born 14 September 1994) is an English footballer who plays as a forward for Enfield.
