The eighth series of ''The Bill'', a British television drama, consisted of 105 episodes, broadcast between 2 January and 31 December 1992. Trevor Mills Byfield (20 October 1943 – 11 October 2017) was a British character actor particularly well known for his roles on British television. In many of his later roles he was credited as Zig Byfield. Theatre work Prior to his work in television and film he appeared in several stage musicals under the name Ziggy Byfield. These included the 1970s production of ''Hair'', where he appeared alongside Joan Armatrading, Richard O'Brien, Paul Nicholas and Floella Benjamin. Sally Rogers (born 1964) is an English actress, best known for her role as Detective Constable/Sgt. Jo Masters in ITV's ''The Bill''. Rogers trained as a children's nanny, before taking up acting at the age of 20. She studied at Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London before working at the Royal National Theatre.
